Guest Access
Bring in clients, contractors, and partners without giving them the keys to your workspace. Guests see only the boards you explicitly invite them to.
Overview
Guests are external collaborators with per-board access. They never see your workspace, other boards, or member list. Free on Pro+ (up to 5 per paid seat) — they don't count toward your member limit.
What guests can and can't see
- · View boards they're invited to
- · Create and edit cards on those boards
- · Comment and @-mention
- · Upload attachments
- · Get notified when assigned
- · See your workspace name or other boards
- · View the member list
- · Access workspace settings or billing
- · Invite anyone
- · Run automations
Inviting a guest
Open the board you want to share
Guests are invited per-board, not workspace-wide.
Click Share (top right)
The share dialog combines visibility settings and member invites.
Enter the guest's email
Any email is fine — they don't need an existing Gryphin account.
Pick "Guest" as the role
It's the default for external email domains. Members of your workspace domain default to Member.
Send
They get an invite email with a magic-link sign-in. First-time guests land directly on the shared board.
When to use guest access
Clients
Share project status and deliverables without exposing your internal sprint board.
Contractors
Scope a freelancer's access to exactly the project boards they need.
Partners
Joint initiatives often need shared visibility but separate accountability — guest works perfectly.
Vendors
Track deliverables, due dates, and approvals without giving them workspace-level rights.
Upgrading a guest to member
If a guest becomes a real teammate, an Admin can promote them in one click. They keep all their history — the same account, just with broader access.
From guest to member
Open Settings → Members, find the guest row, change their role from Guest to Member. They immediately gain workspace-wide access.
